Elaine A. Richman, Ph.D.

 

 

Elaine A. Richman, Ph.D., is founder and president of Richman Associates, LLC, formerly EAR Medical Communications.  Dr. Richman earned a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in human anatomy, followed by post-doctoral training at The Johns Hopkins University, in neurotoxicology.

 

In 1983, Dr. Richman began her first consulting practice, BIO SCI INFO, to help business people understand and communicate science, medicine, and technology. Writing and editing commitments included a period as editorial director of Johns Hopkins Women’s Health Newsletter and another as senior managing editor of ACSM’s Health & Fitness Journal.

 

Dr. Richman has written for journals, magazines, newspapers, web sites, and other venues. Her style is lively and engaging. Her first full-length book, being published in the spring of 2005 by Harvard University Press, is about Parkinson’s disease and is co-authored with Massachusetts General Hospital neurologist Nutan Sharma, M.D., Ph.D.
